Obituary for Reginald Ernest "Reg" Tyler

Reginald Ernest Tyler


Peacefully, on February 2nd, 2018 in his 86th year, Reg Tyler passed away surrounded by his family. Reg lived an incredible life and will forever be remembered by those he touched, particularly in the Feversham & Ravenna communities; through his years of involvement with the local arena and volunteering within the broader community through organizations such as AA. His legacy of having been an extremely compassionate man, who has helped many others overcome challenge, will remain a cornerstone of his resilient, persevering and loving character, that was apparent until the very end. Born August 5th, 1932 in Osprey Township, to parents Bill and Eileen (Izzard) Tyler, he was one of two children and predeceased by his older sister and brother in-law Almeda (Tyler) & Fred Boyce. On September 9th, 1960 Reg was married to his wife of 58 years, June (Seeley) Tyler. They are succeeded by their four children Valerie, married Alex Mullin; Vonnie, married Don Crawford; Vickie, married Jamie Allen; and Randy, married Kari (Walker) Tyler. Reg was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and will always be remembered by his many grandchildren: Carol Ann (Mullin) & Tom Morabito; Meghan (Mullin) & Ian Miller, Natalie Mullin & Brent Curry, Jessica Crawford & Jeremy Kester, Tyler Crawford, Tanya and Stephanie Allen, and Sara, Gavin, Rachel and Rebecca Tyler. He is cherished by his great-grandchildren: Piper, Blake and Paige Morabito, Sierra Miller, Owen Curry and Connor, Natalie, and Alexander Kester. Reg was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and neighbor. He inspired and entertained those around him with his quiet humility, genuine love for good company, and unique sense of humor. Reg’s life will be remembered and celebrated at Fawcett’s Funeral home in Flesherton with visitation on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and from 7:00 – 9:00pm with a service from the chapel on Monday at 11am.
