Gibson; "Pete" Ross Hector
Suddenly at his home in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, with his family by his side, on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of 51 years to Ida (nee Linton). Loving father of Scott(Brenda) of Flesherton and the late Gregory(1976). Devoted grandpa to Cassidy. Dear brother of Lonnie(Barb) of Badjeros, Bill(Pat) of Brampton, sister in-law Shirley(Glenn) Applegate of Utopia and brother the late John Gibson. Pete was the brother in-law of Hugh(Carmen) Linton of Cornwall, Frank Linton of Shelburne, Beth Attwood of Cambridge, Gladys Stoneham of Harcourt and the late Harold Linton. He will be loved and remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Pete was born to Dorine and William Gibson on March 5, 1942 in Badjeros, Ontario. With a construction background, Pete started his own business, Gibson Excavating, 50 years ago. He had a passion for hockey that was and is a family tradition.

A celebration take will take place on Saturday, August 18 at 12:30pm at their home, 354613 Osprey-Artemesia Townline, for a time to share stories of Pete's life. A private family graveside has taken place at the Maxwell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital would be gratefully appreciated.
