Peacefully at Grey Gables Nursing Home, Markdale on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 of Shelburne in his 95th year. Loving father of Douglas, Donna Atkinson, Heather Peterson(the late Douglas), and Debra Lynn Ferguson. Loved and remembered by 11 grandchildren and predeceased by one. He will be fondly remembered by his many great granchildren. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. George will be greatly missed by many friends in the Shelburne area.

The family will receive friends at the Shelburne Legion, Branch 220, on Sunday, November 18 from 2:00-4:00pm. Cremation has taken place and George will be laid to rest with his parents in the Orangeville Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Diabetes Association would be gratefully appreciated.
