Peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones, Janet passed away on November 30, 2018 in her 57th year. She was so loved by her daughters Madeline Wood and Mariah Faeth, and cherished by her parents Lone and Patricia Wood all of Barrie. She will be dearly missed by her brother Bruce Wood of Ottawa, her soul sisters and her entire community.
Janet was a passionate woman with a love for art, community, family, life and food. She was well known for her creative nature that shone through in everything that she did, especially her artwork and cooking. Janet may have succumbed to the cancer she battled, but her comedic wit, appreciation of the beauty that surrounds us, and ability to see humour in everything is carried on in her daughter’s hearts.
A Ceremony of Remembrance will be held at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception on Monday, December 10, at 1pm. Reception at South East Grey Support Services Pavilion to follow (774292 Highway 10, Flesherton).
Janet has requested a memorial bench be placed at the Flesherton Pond. Donations can be made at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception. Alternatively, donations to the Grey Highlands Public Library - Flesherton site would be greatly appreciated.
