Obituary for Bengt Kullervo Jansson

Jansson; Bengt Kullervo
At his residence, at Lake Eugenia, on Friday, January 25, 2019. Bengt (Bing) passed away in his 91st year. Loving father of Iris(Mark) McQueen of Guelph and Eric(Janet) Jansson of Oakville. He is survived by Norma Jansson(nee Strange) and predeceased by brother Bjarne Johannes and sister Birgit Sandberg.
Bing came from Finland in 1954, embraced the English language and loved to be humorous with his play on words. He retired from Dover Elevators as an elevator mechanic in 1990. He was a proud, stubborn, inventive, humorous, private, generous man who lived his retirement years the way he wanted. He loved his home on Lake Eugenia where he lived on his own until the day he passed. There, he enjoyed the birds, squirrels, lake and nature around him. He was a conservationist throughout his life. A simple life, well lived.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held. In memory of Bengt, in lieu of flowers, donations to EcoJustice Canada or the David Suzuki Foundation would be gratefully appreciated. Online donations and condolences at www.fawcettfuneralhome.ca
