After a short battle with cancer, Ken passed away peacefully, holding his beautiful wife's hand, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Friday, April 12, 2019 in his 84th year. Married to his beloved wife Isobel(nee Love) for almost 60 years. Loving father of Lisa(Dave) Hoffman of London and grandfather of Matthew and Melissa. Brother of Don(Sharon) of Lakefield and brother in-law of Nelly Smith of Courtney, BC. He is predeceased by his brother Bill and sister Sheila.
Ken was born April 4, 1936 in Artemesia Township to Wesley and Stella Smith. He attended school as a child in Rock Mills before going on to his career as a supervisor of repairs and installation at Bell Canada for 32 years. He married Isobel Love on November 6, 1959 in Toronto. In retirement he enjoyed his time as a member of the Sydenham Sportsman Association and was an avid sports fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
