Passed peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Georgina(nee Peardon). Loving father of Heather(Steve) Guerin of St. Catherine’s, Irene(Joe) Moore of Port Cobourne, Helen McKechnie of Brampton, Cecil of Brampton and Barb(Frank) Webb. Dear brother of Earl of Owen Sound, the late Edna Yool and the late Ilo Laws. He is survived by his brother in-law Allen Yool of Markdale. Son of the late Cecil and Florence McKechnie. Proud grandfather of Christopher Guerin, Kayla(Alex) Rupolo, Joshua Moore, Kortney Moore(Ryan Keith), Corey McKechnie, Gabe, Jessica, Jolene Larkins, Jennifer(Shawn) Taylor, Donald Webb and great-grandfather of Hayden, Izabella, Willow, Autumn, Jaycee, Theodore, Hunter, Kierman, Lilly, Jack, Paul and Riley. Stan will be remembered for amazing social skills and his love of the Toronto Maple Leafs and stock car races.
Visitation will be held at the Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, Flesherton on April 17 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00pm. Funeral service will be help from the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Chapman House or Ontario SPCA would be gratefully appreciated.
