on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Grey Gables formerly of Clarksburg. Beloved husband of Grace of Thornbury for 67 years. Loving father to Dennis of Thornbury, Ron(Sue) of Elmira, Russell(Cheryl) of Hummelstown, PA, Janice Moore of Churchville, NY, and Jim(Nicole) of Meaford. Tom will be greatly missed by Grandchildren Damon(Heather), Ryan(Ladina), Dayna(Scott), Brent(Lisa), Amy(Mike), Ashley, Julie, Robbie, Amanda, Michael, Brayden and Jacob. Loved and remembered by great grandchildren Yana, Livia, Reid, Colby, Cash, Zoe, Ty and Lydia. Brother of Mary(Vern) Walpole, Anne(Ken) Watson, Don(Marilyn) Walton and Esther Walton.
Tom was always a hard-working family man. His passion for farming was never extinguished, even when life took his career on other paths including real estate, he always came back to the 50 acre farm he and Grace ran on Sideroad 21 in Clarksburg. At the age of 63 his physical mobility was hindered after he had a stroke, but his love for his family was as strong as ever. Tom found new ways to show his family he cared, like always clipping out articles from the newspaper that he felt each one would be interested in and giving them the file at Christmas time, and spending endless hours worrying about their safety, health and happiness.
Memorial service to take place at Gentle Shepherd Community Church on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 1pm. The family will be available to visit during a light lunch following the service.
