After beating the odds of ovarian cancer by years, Wendy passed peacefully at home in Eugenia with Rob by her side on March 25, 2020, a few weeks shy of her 65th birthday. Beloved wife of Rob for 37 years. Loving mother of Jennaya(Chris VanAlstine) and Luke(Katelyn Nichsolon). Adoring grandmother of Teagan Crossman and Emrie VanAlstine. Dear sister in-law of Karen Patterson and Richard(Connie) Hurst. Loved and remembered as aunt to Dustin and Richard Patterson, Nicole Hurst-Labun, Ryan and Scott Hurst.
Wendy worked out of Dufferin County as a paramedic for 28 years. She spent a lot of time volunteering at Osler ski club and Beaver Valley ski club on the race crew. She was an avid skier and you could find her on the slopes every weekend. She enjoyed travelling and spending time at the cottage with friends and family. Wendy will be missed by many.
At Wendy's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place in the summer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Ovarian Cancer Canada would be gratefully appreciated.
