It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Black of Markdale on Thursday, September 24, 2020 after a brief illness, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Wiarton. Keith, who was in his 93rd year, was a free spirit with a great sense of humour. His love of nature, playing games, and helping people brought joy to so many. Beloved husband of Pat Bromley (nee Baird). Loving father of James (Herman) Black, William Black, and Janice (Rick) Cahill. Cherished grandfather of Jeremy, Christie, and Joshua Cahill and great grandfather of Kaylie, Aliona, Sienna, and Daniel. Dear brother of Ruth Hanna, Stan (Sheila) Black, and Ken (Donna) Black. He is predeceased by his late wife Ellen (nee Simpson) and six siblings – Dorothy, Bessie, Earl, Don, Ed, and Daisy.
The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Funeral Home (1 Highland Drive, Flesherton) on Tuesday, September 29 from 1-2pm. Celebration of life will follow at 3pm. For visiting and celebration, please RSVP on our website or by calling the office.For those unable to attend, a livestream will be available at facebook.com/fawcettfuneralhome starting at 2:50pm. Cremation has taken place and Keith will be laid to rest with his late wife Ellen at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Breslau. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Change Her World charity or Sleeping Children Around the World charity would be gratefully appreciated.
