Obituary for Ernest Russel "Russ" Wall

Wall; Ernest Russell “Russ”

Peacefully at home on Saturday, November 7, 2020 of Flesherton in his 84th year. Beloved partner to Dennis.
Russ was born in D.C., USA on March 13, 1937 to Doris and Ernest Beaumont. Shortly after he was born, his father Ernest passed away, his mother remarried and they relocated to Maryland where he was raised. Russ always excelled in academics, earning his Doctorate in literature. His passion was teaching and so he became a secondary school teacher. He taught for some years in the USA before meeting and immigrating to Canada with Dennis in 1970. They settled in Toronto and Russ continued to teach for another 35 years. Russ and Dennis retired to the Flesherton area and spent their time volunteering with various organizations including Cairn Terrier Rescue. Russ was also instrumental in the start up of the Flesherton & District Farmers market. He will forever be remembered for his community engagement, wonderful generosity, wit and engaging conversation.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial Donations to Centre Grey Health Services Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
