Peacefully at Grey-Bruce Health Services – Markdale on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in his 78th year with his daughters holding his hands. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Teeter) of Feversham. Loving father of Michelle McIntyre of Feversham and Denise (Evan) Sampson of Clarksburg. Wonderful Poppy to Kendel, Alexander and Daniel Sampson and Aidan and Liam Taylor. Great-Poppy to Ryker Schenk. Dennis will be greatly missed by brothers Neil (Joan) and Allan (Carrie) and sisters Eleanor (Wally) Long, Inez Magee, Ruth Jackson and Anna Teeter. Predeceased by his parents Dan and Irene (Ring) McIntyre, brothers Donald and Jack, sisters Edna and Shirley, and brothers-in-law Garnet Magee and Don Teeter.

Dennis enjoyed playing in the dirt from a young age and had a lifelong career in construction with Seeley & Arnill doing what he loved in many capacities from operator to superintendent and estimator. He was an avid snowmobiler for many years and a devoted member of the Osprey Snowhawks Snowmobile Club, spending many hours in the groomer ensuring the trails were well maintained. Lots of “big boy” toys were enjoyed throughout his life, most recently his time riding with his brother Neil in their matching red Polaris Slingshots.
