Obituary for "Paul" Edward Flaherty

Paul Flaherty
It is with shock and sadness that we announce the death of Paul Flaherty on April 16, 2021 after a brief illness, in his 84th year. Paul is going to be terribly missed by his partner of 15 years, Donna, and her daughters, Lorrie, Denise (Tom) and Trish; and her grandchildren, Colleen, Cassandra (Kieran), Rebekah, Robert (Stephanie). Christopher (Shannon), Cameron, Josiah, Jennie, Emma and Erin. He will be fondly remembered by his brother, Leo, brother-in-law, Les; his nephews, Stephen (Ruth), Tim (Joanne), Jeff (Michelle), James (Kimberley) and John (Susan); grandnephews, Brandon, James, Ryan, Braden, Sam, Matt and his grandniece, Lauren. Pre-deceased by his sisters, Marie and Jo Ann, and his brother-in-law, Lewis.
Paul was a retired Brampton firefighter where he formed many lifetime friendships. He moved to Flesherton where he shared a home for many years with his wife, Noreen, who passed away in 2004. They spent many wonderful summer vacations with friends in PEI and New Brunswick.
After the death of his wife, Paul rekindled an acquaintance that began in high school with Donna and joined her in Chipman, New Brunswick where they spent a number of years before moving back to Ontario and settling in Alliston where they enjoyed their golden years.
An interment service will be held at a later date in Brampton.
As Paul was a great animal lover, donations in his memory will be gratefully accepted at the Alliston and District Humane Society.
