Obituary for Eleanor Joan Freeman (Sparks)

Freeman; Eleanor Joan (nee Sparks)

Peacefully, with her family by her side, Eleanor passed at Malton Village Long Term Care, Mississauga on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in her 90th year. She is reunited with her beloved husband Douglas (2014). Loving mother of Leslie Freeman (Tim Mallory) of Scarborough, Lorri (Peter) Zagar of Caledon, Kevin Freeman of Whistler, BC and the late Jennifer. Proud grandmother of Myles (Emily), Aidan and Ellen (Zach). Dear sister of Muriel (the late John) Phillips of Orangeville, Judy (Doug) Galloway of Kimberly and the late Lois and Ivan Hills. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and many friends in Brampton and Eugenia (Blue Mountain Maples).

Eleanor lived a very full life. Whether during her career as a teacher, her time as a baseball coach or just being with friends for a beer by the lake, she brought her sense of humour and heart of gold to all she did.

A private family service will take place on Saturday, June 19 at 1:00pm. Those wishing to join may join through the live stream at www.fawcettfuneralhome.ca. Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at The Brampton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Activation Program at Malton Village Long Term Care Facility would be gratefully appreciated.
