Obituary for Shirley Isobel Clark (Reesor)

After a long life, Shirley has been called to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday July 13, 2022 at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, formerly of Markdale in her 97th year. She is reunited with her beloved husband Jack (Harold John). Loving mother to Gloria (the late Ron) Petrie of Barrie and Paul (Irene) Clark of Caledon. Cherished grandmother to Robert (Wendy), Julie (Mark), Shawna (David), Karah and Amber Dawn (Phil). Cherished Great Grandmother of Randy, Bobby, Emily, Connor, Paul, Kyla, Petra and Sarah. Predeceased by her parents William Clifford and Ethel Leon Reesor (Shea).

Shirley was a loving sister to 10 siblings. Predeceased by Margaret (Laurie) Griggs, William (Lois) Reesor, Lorraine (Arthur) Middlestadt, Donald Reesor, Robert Reesor, Clarence Reesor, James Reesor. Survived by siblings Beverley (Donald) Crichton, Gerald (Debbie) Reesor, Patricia Weyermars (Bill). Sister-in-law Gloria Reesor and Brother-in-law Peter Weyermars.

Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews who she only answered to
“Aunt Shirl”

Shirley was a Foster Mother for Children’s Aid to many children in the Dundalk area. She was a long time member of Gentle Shepard Community Church and enjoyed singing with the Country Gospel Group, also a long time volunteer for the Women’s Auxiliary in Markdale. She finally retired from the Women’s Auxiliary at the age of 90 and moved to Barrie.

The family will receive friends at Gentle Shepard Community Church, Eugenia on Thursday July 21, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. followed by Service at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will take place on Saturday July 23, 2022 at Brougham Pioneer Christian Cemetery. If desired memorial contributions to the Gentle Shepard Church would be gratefully appreciated. Online donations and condolences at www.fawcettfuneralhome.ca
