At Brampton Civic Hospital, on Monday, September 19, 2022, of Flesherton at the young age of 91 years. Beloved husband of Irene(nee Porteous) for 63 years. Loving father of Rodney of Wilcox Lake. Dear brother in-law of Les Porteous of Collingwood, Clayton(Eleanor) Porteous of Gatineau, Quebec, and Stan(Noel) Porteous of Toronto. Ross is predeceased by his parents Telford and Mary, as well as all of his siblings; Robert, Nellie Fisher, Ivadel Fisher, Laura Irwin and Reg.
Ross was always known around town for his hard work and of course his birdhouses. Chirp Works has kept him young for over 25 years. In his younger years; he was a farmer, on the home farm in Maxwell, he did construction, trucking and worked at the feed mill. Ross was even a part of building the post office in Flesherton.
The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception on Thursday from 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral Service from the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11:00am. Interment Maxwell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
