Thomas William Allwood of Collingwood passed peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Meaford Hospital, on January 24th, 2023. He is reunited with his beloved wife Margaret (nee Collison) (2006). Loving father of Thomas (Carolyn) of Markdale, Carol (Dave Ostler) of Innisifil, Bob (Skye Graham) of Brampton and Jane (Gary Seers) of Brampton. Cherished grandfather of Shannon Allwood (Glenn Wark) of Collingwood, Michael Allwood (Emily) of Stittsville, Charlotte Caunter (Young Min) of Bradford, Ben Caunter (Rano) of Bradford, Adam Caunter of Pickering, Ashley Davis (Mark) of Columbus Ohio, and Melissa Voyce (Rob) of Milton. Loved and remembered by his thirteen great grandchildren Alistair, Isla, Rowan, Breagha, Alice, Farin, Jasmine, Kai, Aiden, Mason, Roman, Ana, Malika, Chase and Cash. Thomas William his wife and four children originally from Essex, England emigrated to Canada in 1964 and settled in Oakridges. Thomas William is the last surviving member of his family, predeceased by his parents George and Phyllis and his eight siblings Phyllis, Doris, Kathleen, Gladys, Evelyn, Sylvia, George and Henry. He has left this Earthly Coil on whose Seas he once travailed. In his 96th year; a life well lived. He will be missed.
The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception Ltd. (1 Highland Drive, Flesherton) on Saturday, January 28 from 11.30am until the time of funeral service at 1:30pm.
