Obituary for Edith Mabel Tyson
Tyson (nee Blakey); Edith Mabel - April 27, 1945 to January 30, 2023
Edith passed peacefully at Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest on January 30, 2023. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 55 years, Bob. Loving mother of Nicole (David) Kerslake, Rob and Richard (Trace) Tyson. Grandmother of Tyson and Emily Kerslake, Edith is predeceased by: brothers Jimmie, and Edward. Surviving brother William.
At Edith's request, there will be no service and cremation has taken place. With great appreciation for the oncology nurses and doctors at Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest, while Edith fight cancer for 9 years. Arrangements entrusted to Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception.
Edith and Bob farmed in Gibraltar for 35 years, and retired for 20 years in the Durham area. Edith was a active member of the Durham and District horticultural society and a member on the board of directors. One of her most fulfilling interest was home gardening. Edith and Bob received the 2022 Gardening Hero award from Durham and District Horticultural Society. She participated as member and director for Durham Senior Club. Edith and Bob attended the Knox United Church.
