Frank was born on June 11, 1947 in Markdale to Frank and Hazel. He attended Markdale Public School and then Centre Grey District High School before enrolling in the Royal Canadian Navy at age 17 (1964-1974). His main station was at HMCS Shearwater, Dartmouth, NS serving on the HMCS Bonaventure “Bonnie”. As a child Frank, met the love of his life Linda on one of his adventures to Flesherton. Frank married Linda in 1967 and together they moved back to Flesherton to raise their family. Frank will be fondly remembered for his 30+ years of service as a firefighter ending his career at the Flesherton Station, as Deputy Fire Chief. He worked for the Bluewater District School Board for over 30 years and retired in 2012 as head custodian at Grey Highlands Secondary School.

In retirement Frank trained and ran 3 half marathons, one of which with his son Paul. He enjoyed spending time snowshoeing, walking his dog, golfing and attending local standardbred races. Frank and Linda enjoyed traveling together and spent much of their time visiting with their grandchildren.

Frank will be fondly remembered by his community, friends and family for his kind heart and generous nature. Frank always took the time to help those in need without any thought of anything in return.
