James William Brownridge

Passed away peacefully on Sunday September 11, 2016 at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie, Ontario. Jim Brownridge in his 93rd year. Loving husband and partner of Leona for 71 years. Loved father of Larry (Barbara), Betty Anne (Richard) West, and Jean (Gordon) Crawford. Cherished grandfather of Pam, Christine, Debi, Larry Jr., Karen, Jason, and Jennifer. Great grandfather of Phillip, Meagan, Whitney, Kenneth, Bethany, Amanda, and Cooper. Great great grandfather of Titus, Audrey, Breckin, and Jasper. Pre deceased by his parents Lance and Lillian Brownridge, brother Harold (Merilyn), and great granddaughter Amber. Jim was a farmer extraordinaire. There was no task too great and he was always willing to help a friend in need.
Visitation will take place at Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton, Ontario, Friday September 16, 2016, from 2:00 -4:00 pm, and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral service from Gentle Shepherd Community Church, Fire # 426176, Concession 8, R. R. # 4, Flesherton, Ontario on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11:00 am.
A reception will be held following the service at the church and internment will follow at Maxwell Cemetery.
