Peacefully in his sleep, Wayne passed at home on Thursday, December 8, 2016 of Feversham in his 75th year. Beloved husband of 50 years to Peggy(nee Hayes). Dear father of Drew of Flesherton, Lori(James) Cannon of Seagrave, Heidi(Jim) Dimakos of Feversham and Chris(Leanne) of Arthur. Loved and remembered by grandchildren Tef, Brad, Nate, Gabe Ferris, Marley, Carter, Ethan Cannon, Emily, Magda Dimakos, Lily and Jasmine Ferris. Dear brother of Colleen(the late Jack) Knowles of Red Bay and John(Shirley) Ferris of Creemore and brother in-law of Paul(Gail) of Singhampton and Peter(Glenda) Hayes of Maxwell. Predeceased by parents Telford and Sadie Ferris. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Wayne graduated from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in the top 20 in Canada in 1967. He practised as a public accountant for over 40 years with the latter being his own practise in Maxwell. His passions were farming, family, community and faith. Telling stories and laughing were among his favourite pastimes but his family was his pride and joy. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton on Saturday, December 10, from 7-9pm, Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Brethren of the Dundalk Masonic Lodge #449 are called to gather for Masonic service Sunday at 6:45pm. Funeral service from Gentle Shepherd Community Church, Eugenia on Monday at 11am.
