Condolence: I noticed the death notice in the Sun Times for June Iveson and the name instantly recalled a stormy night many, many years ago when we were snow-bound in Flesherton and this dear sweet June took us into her home for the night. She even had 5 night gowns for our ladies. We were returning from Toronto Gift Show where we were buying for the Owen Sound Hospital Gift Shop. We had breakfast with June, her husband was on oxygen in the front room. As soon as the radio said Highway 10 was open we were off for home. We sent her a lace table cloth when we got home to thank her for her kind hospitality. Just wanted her family to know that some good deeds are never forgotten. I have contacted some of the ladies who were in the car with me, and they sure remember, but did not notice her name. I have a strange memory, I guess.
Our love and sympathy, I'm sure she was one great mother.
I am 86, and President of the Hospital Auxiliary so still involved with our Gift Shop although I don't do a working shift anymore. We do not sell those lovely lace cloths anymore, your mom said she had always admired them.

I was very shocked and sorry to hear of June's passing. She was a wonderful lady and will always be remembered for the extreme kindess that her, Bill and the whole family shared with my family. I will miss her phone calls, tales of my grandparents and kindness. She was a very wonderful lady that I loved very much. I always enjoyed wasting away afternoons listening to her stories of my childhood. My heart felt sympathies go out to the entire family during this time. I wish I was able to be there with you, but you will be in my thought and prayers.
