Peacefully with her family by her side, Rita went into God's care on Wednesday, May 13, 2014 of Markdale at age 96. She is reunited with her beloved husband Kryn. Loving mother of Nicholas(Joan) of Seaforth, Kees(Darlene) of Glen Allan, Rika(William) Adams of Orillia, Kryn(Sandra) of Peterborough, Anne(George) Harauz of Guelph, Frank(Stephanie) of Toronto, George(Helen) of Cambridge and the late Wilhelmina Thorne. Loved and remembered by her 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rita is survived by her brothers Dick and Cees Honders and son in-law Douglas Thorne. She is predeceased by her brothers Karel and Willem, and sisters Alie and Corrie. The family will receive friends at Annesley United Church, 82 Toronto Street South, Markdale on Monday, May 19 from 12noon until the service at 2pm. Cremation to follow with interment at Markdale Cemetery. In memory of Rita, donations may be made to Annesley United Church, Markdale Arts for Youth or the Markdale Food Bank.
