Gartley: “Conn” Thomas Conrad

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Conn on Friday, July 9, 2021 of Priceville, formerly of Fergus, a week after his 52nd birthday. He will be greatly missed by his parents Tom and Sharon. Dear brother of Clifford(Ann) of Paisley. Cherished uncle to Tyler(Trish) and Ashley(Tait) and their son Weston. Remembered by very special friends Jenn and Jessica. Conn will be also missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many more friends.

Conn was known for his kindness by all who knew him. His true passion was in the arts and he followed that, making his mark in many theatres. He was a staple in the Centre Wellington, Guelph and Elora theatres for his skills and was referred to as the “go to guy for stage management” for over 30 years. “His experience, expertise and passion for the theatre could not be equalled. Conn’s inner child never faded for him, which was one of the many reasons the kids loved him so much. He even went as far as to help out many friends when they needed a nanny. His passion for Disney and all things playful made him a perfect fit and he not only took on these roles but excelled at it.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Conn’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Make A Wish Foundation (4211 Yonge Street, Suite 520, Toronto, Ontario M2P 2A9), The Hospital for Sick Children, or the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be gratefully appreciated.
